Pyramids #2

I've blipped this view before here, except it was in the night when you can't see the pyramid. It is taken from the balcony seen in the extra of yesterday's blip. Wafi seems to have become our go-to mall! We were in it yesterday, today and G's 4get-me-not group has an event planned for tomorrow.

So, today, we went to Festival City after ages to do a proper shop in Carrefour, but we also wanted to look around IKEA. We both realise we need to change our pillows as they are contributing to sleepless nights. New pillows found (and bought), we did the shop and were back home for lunch.

The EURO 2020 England vs Germany match kept coming up on the news, so I reckoned I should make enquiries where we might be able to watch it. Thankfully, we didn't have to go far. Carter's is showing all the matches, and they had a table for two free, so off we went. Kick-off was at 8 pm our time, so we enjoyed a light meal and the football atmosphere. There were lots of England supporters and at least one German who was at the table behind us. He was brave coming to a British pub to watch a match like that!

Needless to say, we were thrilled with the outcome. Home now and there are still things that need attending, so I am keeping this short.
