Mow Cop.
Unexpectedly good weather, so we did a a pleasant 40km bike ride that was mostly flat except for a 25% climb to this crumbling folly (whadd'ya mean, how appropriate?) It was built as a summerhouse in 1754 and is now a Grade II Listed structure.
Extra 1: An alternate view.
Extra 2: A hazy view of the Cheshire plain, with a distant recumbent Jodrell Bank Observatory radio dish. Established in 1945, it has played an important part in the research of quasars, pulsars and masers.
I never thought I could have had so much fun or be made to feel so welcome. I also never thought I'd reach this milestone either.
Most of all, a special thanks to the very dear friend who introduced me to blip - you have a lot to answer for. ;)
