Food delivery

Back on 11th June I posted a shot of the pied wagtail nest on our boat. On last week's visit there were 7 or 8 gapping yellow beaks. Today the parents were going back and forth every few minutes with beaks full of insects triggering lots of noisy excitement from the nest. They didn't at all mind us being on board as long as we gave them space. Sadly we found two small  fledgling corpses in the cockpit. They seemed to have fallen into the cockpit drains which are set down below the level of the cockpit by a few centimetres. These are now covered by 2 sturdy breadboards to avert further disaster.
