Not a Curlew...

This bird looks like a curlew, but it's not. It's a whimbrel (shorter beak). It shouldn't really be in a silage field in West Yorkshire but it is. It's there because it only has one wing...If you look at the extra, you'll see what I mean. 

It's been in this field for a few weeks now and has managed to stay alive and not be eaten...
