Empty Space

Today was day one of two in the studio this week.
Normally, this place would have been busy all day with voice artists. It is a small, soundproof isolation booth where they speak their part of commentary or voice-over.

But since Covid-19, nothing is "normal" anymore and most voice artists are working from home these days, like so many of us.

They need to construct their own booth for that, buy a good microphone - and with the help of a few clever computer programs, connect to the studio via internet.

So, only the sound engineer and I were actually working in the studio today.

It all makes perfect sense, but I still miss meeting people on days like this.

Btw, it did not rain a single drop here last night - but now, finally, it's pouring down. So I can enjoy an evening without watering the garden. Guess I will be watching the football then... :-)
