Nostalgia

... it's not like it used to be !
Some things today were better than we remember back then. Godshill model village for one and Alum Bay another. We remembered both well but as boys I guess we didn't see the details in either place and were probably wondering why we couldn't be on the beach playing.
The cable car down to the coloured sand cliffs and views of the Needles were well worth the trip to the west of the island and how beautiful the countryside and pretty thatched villages are on the way. Godshill being one such village and its miniature village is something else, I was taken by the model people who all showed character. and the manicured gardens.
A few too many extras again; they show me and Alan on the cable car (the official obligatory snap) Godshill village and then the version in the miniature village, Freshwater bay,  also a view of Alum Bay cliffs.
