We have a sofa

A couple of years ago we were given a sofa by a family who were leaving Portugal and we stored it in our top building (ex pigsty) I was very careful where and how I positioned it and kept checking it wasn't getting ruined...... (apart from during our three and a half months in England). But today I smelled (and saw) a rat and so we've brought it down to where we live and cleaned it up- no harm done it seems though we did have to destroy someone's home (in extra) in the process.
