Wimbledon…before Centre Court had a cover!

As Wimbledon starts today I looked out a couple of seat cushions I bought there a long time ago. I use one as a kneeling mat in the garden but this one is still clean and I think is from about 1998…. Looking at the picture it’s before the Centre Court had a cover. Good that both Centre and No1 now have covers so that play could start on time. I’ve just watched Jack Draper doing very well against Djokovic.

I could have bought tickets this year, plenty available when I went online but decided not to re Covid hassle. Despite it apparently being only 50% capacity everyone was sitting very close on Centre Court..maybe they are not using some of the upper rows.
