Brother Faceless & The Thousand Yard Stare

It's my last day in self-isolation and I'm desperate to see more of the outside world after not having left the house or back garden since last Monday. I sometimes forget how lucky I normally am to be able to move around freely unlike some people who have been shielding for eighteen months or more since the start of the very first lockdown.
During this second period of self isolation it has been much easier to get an online delivery so we haven't been short of food or drink like we were during the first one. The delivery drivers have all been helpful and polite, one even joked when he gave me the wine we ordered that he hoped we enjoyed our "medicine"!
What is there to say about the Matt Hancock situation other than he was a total and utter hypocrite and that he had to resign. This government are taking us for fools, telling us to obey all the rules when not following themselves. Apparently, they haven't been following the rules in No.10 either with people not wearing masks, not sitting at least two metres apart and having drinks parties which they took to calling "meetings". The danger comes when more and more people start doing the same.
So it will be back to work tomorrow and I am feeling a little bit jittery about it. I'm sure it will be fine but I will be worrying somewhat about getting another dreaded ping on my phone.
I do think the problem will come when they relax the rules. I'm sure more people will have been double jabbed by then but it won't stop you getting a ping on your phone and having to self isolate. It could well mean a big increase in people having to do what I've just done and may cause problems in quite a few workplaces where people work closely together.
