In praise of the back alley

Rotten weather, rotten blip inspiration, still at work ...
Well I am sure we all have the sort of day when inspiration is just out of reach. This is the first day since I have started blipping that I have not seen an image that made sense to shoot ... so here's why I shot this. To blip I have been walking around my area during the day and have discovered whole areas I didn't know - just because I am walking not driving. One discovery is the network of alleyways that criss-cross the road system and let pedestrians cut through from road to road. This example runs down to the dip you can see at the bottom of the hill and pretty much runs up the hill in the distance. They are all well lit at night by the (victorian?) lamp standards and it makes me wonder how many have trod these paths before me.
I am hoping for better weather over the weekend ;-(
