Rain Damage

My goodness, what a busy week. Just where has the time gone?

On Friday we had torrential rain, and it was cold. By Saturday the rain was holding off but still very cold - like 8 degrees c - but I got out into the garden to do a bit more weeding. My poor, beautiful peonies were all flattened, so I had to cut them and bring them indoors. I gave an armful to my neighbour too. Two of the blooms are more than 20cm across! Such beautiful flowers, but so shortlived and susceptible to damage. Whatever, I'll enjoy them whilst I can

I continue to work the embroidery for the charity panel, but it hasn't been going well. Decided that 2 of the colours I had didn't really work, so I've ordered some new ones online, just hoping they don't take too long to arrive. I really like the effect of this design, so I think I'll work it again for myself, but larger and in wool.

This is going to be a week of meetings!  There's something booked for every day now. Busy little me!
