Foxglove haven
After only a couple of walks this week I needed to blow the cobwebs away so set off up into St Ives Estate. Amazingly quiet - even the playground only had about 4 families there. Not sure if it was the duller weather, or the fear of the new parking meters (which are not in use yet!). Even the cafe was quiet, so I grabbed a takeaway coffee and headed to Betty’s Wood. The foxgloves are everywhere now - some white and pale pink ones amongst the more common bright pink ones. I love the patterns inside the petals. Sat on a bench overlooking Bingley to drink my coffee and then had a wander around the rest of the estate before walking home. Much warmer than it looked today. Finished the afternoon with coffee at a friend’s house.
