View from White Cross, near Ottery St Mary
We walked the Coleridge Link Walk today for the second time as we are leading this walk for our walking group a week on Sunday. Good job too -there were some changes- an electric fence across the footpath, a new gas pipe line across the footpath near the River Otter, and a diverted path due to the installation of a Larinier Salmon Fish Pass. Despite these major engineering works the route had been preserved, and an alternative path provided. There was also a new small wooden bridge to replace one washed away in the floods and evidence that much of the footpath near the river was recently underwater. It rained heavily in the afternoon. The view is looking towards Dartmoor. Ottery is a nice old fashioned town.
