Newhaven Lighthouse

Out at lunchtime today I thought I'd pop down to Newhaven quickly to see if there was any Blip potential. Overcast skies with breaks of blue, the occasional flash shower of light rain, some nice shifting light now and then. I really like this little area around the lighthouse. It's being hemmed in by a lot of very modern development along the waterfront nearby, but it still has it's own strong character. The little harbour has a life of its own, and the racks of lobster pots and the detrius of fishing around the harbour wall keep it all alive. This lighthouse stands right on the tip of the harbour, overseeing the narrow entrance and is a real eye-catcher - even without the light...
