This is what happens..........
............ when you shoot from the hip. I do this quite a lot. On other occasions, I'm quite blatant about it. Anyhoo, I quite like this skew-whiff image.
In other news, I had a riding lesson on the Robster tonight. He was a bit of handful when it came to putting his bridle on (he's taken to pretending he's drinking water in an attempt to thwart the procedure) and a bit of a nightmare at the mounting block but, once mounted, he was pretty well behaved. Tried to perfect trotting in a circle which I was finding pretty difficult. However, Catriona (my lovely instructor) insisted I kept trying and, on my final lap, it eventually clicked. I do hope it wasn't just a fluke though! Catriona thinks that by my riding the Robster, who's young, green and a little bit difficult at times, I'll become a better rider and I think she's right. In saying that, it's not only a horse you have to get used to, it's the terminology as well. At one point during the lesson, Catriona told me to "go large". I had the expression "give it large" in my head and so thought she meant I was to "give it some" and almost started whooping and yee ha'ing around the school! I think she saw the quizzical look on my face and told me that going large actually means just riding around the school. If anyone can tell me what "leg on" means, I'll give you a pound................................ :)
Ps On the drive up to the yard, we saw two hares and some deer. It was like being on safari!
