Open studios

Mr PB took the opportunity for a lie in, so we set off later than normal which turned out really well. I wanted to include a visit to an Artist Open Studio, so the route was planned accordingly.  Fortuitously we bumped into David and Laura out on a rekey for her first ride leaders ride next weekend. Telling them where we were off to they came with us, which was just round the corner. 

Wow! The artist Barney Broadbent was amazing. He made sculptures from wood and metal - all reclaimed. There were pieces of his work scattered around his amazing garden come nature reserve. The house is on an old airfield and was  (not sure if still is) within the Rothchild estate. It was an amazing quirky place.

The art work was beautiful, this The Raven Lady was just one of my favourites. 

Then on our way back from walking the dogs, Mr PB spotted a grass snake all cleared up on the log by our back gate. Wow!
