Pevensey Castle.

A nice change of scenery for the daily constitutional. Pevensey Castle has a long history - built in the late 200s AD by the Romans, it was later occupied by the Normans in 1066. They built a stone keep inside the extensive outer wall - where you can still see the original Roman stonework. Interesting spot made even more so by the presence of a splendid hostelry just next door. Not that I'm interested in that sort of thing. Of course. :-)
