Quiet time

A few seconds going up in the lift.

Was caring for a patient who proceeded to spit the water I'd just helped them drink over my face and upper torso.

At least it wasn't a punch.

Sadly they had a few cards from their loved ones displayed, it's worth remembering that when someone is unwell and are violent and aggressive they are stilled loved.

It's also worth noting that if we had enough staff and the right kind of ward environment the patient might not have been so distressed.

Sad.
