Tea
A lot of tea was consumed today
Woke to dull skies so papers and tea in bed til ten.
Did the Lockdown walk of old, to Roslin for a cuppa at Dolly’s then home again.. 8 miles done.
Quick change then over to a friends for afternoon tea raising money for RHET. Sandwiches, cakes and scones galore with the centrepiece this fabulously trashy three tier cake holder. Which we all tried to decide what Crane? Pelican??( not me) Flamingo??! No it’s a STORK... now named Gertrude. By the end of tea, we had all decided we wanted one too.
Onward into toon, toon to the cinema! Cinema! Remember that old concept?
Had been keen to see The Father for awhile and was not disappointed. Stunning depiction of dementia not for the faint hearted. Heart breaking throughout and incredible in its accuracy, reminded me of my own grandmas descent into confusion. Anthony Hopkins deserved the Oscar for his stunning haunting performance which stayed with me for the rest of the evening.
Came out to a still light night so we drove to Porty to catch ... you’ve guessed it... a wee cup of tea at The Espy before home time.
