This wee boy is the most awesome boy I’ve met. Today was his big brother’s 13th birthday and so it was all round to theirs for a BBQ (well not ‘all round’ due to Covid restrictions). J here was missing for the first half of the celebrations. He has soooo many health issues that there aren’t enough characters to type them but most of the time he shrugs the issues off. Last night however he had a bit of a meltdown from it all which had been very upsetting for mum, dad and big brother. For the first part of today he just needed some time to himself but then he came out for a soak in the hot tub and seemed to pull round a bit.
As we left I called him over and gave him a hug (bugger Covid) and told him I loved him. After his mum had told me just what he’d said during his meltdown I felt he needed to hear it and I definitely needed to say it!
