Pond Skater

Yesterdays roses looked a bit limp this morning so I went to put some water in the 'vase' (since it is rather small) and petals fell off over the place.
I manged to get them to the kitchen and got a couple of shots before they went to to the compost.
The second shot put me in the mood to see if I could get some narrow focus and slightly unusual angled shots out in the garden.
If you follow on from the inks you will come across Elderflower, some raindrops on Lady's Mantle, stuff in the pond - which is where I got the Pond Skater (but I have spared you the baby bird which is in there and acting as the buffet for the tadpoles), orchids, a climbing snail and finishing with a couple of Foxglove shots.

While I was working at the lathe one of the neighbours turned up ... a young lad of 11 looking for some help in removing a padlock from his bike... He has done my trick and lost the keys.
I gave him a visor and a pair of work gloves to hold the lock cable at full stretch while I cut it (well away from him) with the angle grinder.
He went away a happy lad and I got a message from his Mum to say he had really enjoyed it (some people are easily pleased).

Bags and Co. are heading off camping tomorrow and had never mentioned anything about as feeding and watering their cats so we dropped in after doing a spot of food shopping.
Squirrel has had her hair cut and Bags was having her hair done too.
It turns out that the next door neighbour is going to be feeding the cats so we are off  the hook.
