Sue and I with friends visited RSPB Arne Nature Reserve today. Excellent site, but still short on insects to photograph. Our theory is the late spring.

We had a problem on the way to the reserve when a pigeon decided to play ‘Chicken’ with my car and failed. It all went into slow motion as it tried hard to miss the car.

It hit the number plate, no real damage as you can see to the car. Loads of feathers in the rear view mirror and I don’t think it would have survived :(

The bottom picture shows the look out from the hide. We saw three black headed gulls and that was it.
