Sidewalk Dining ...

... on West 13th Street in Greenwich Village.  We were with our friends Daralee and Gloria, who live around the corner.  Marylee has known Daralee since the 1970's when they worked together.  Gloria is a childhood friend of Daralee's, who entered the picture for us when  she moved from Brooklyn to Daralee's building in NYC after her husband died. (All this to make a long story short :) 

(6/24:   After lunch we went to see the Frick collection, which during its renovation is in the former Whitney Museum at 75th and Madison.  I was able to sit for many minutes mesmerized by one of their three beautiful  Vermeers.)
