An historic occasion!

Today for the first time in a year and a half, Bella came to my apartment for a few hours, just the two of us. She discovered this wonderful pink cape I bought for her five years ago, and we had an impromptu photo session, complete with fan and floor lamp ("it can be my scepter!" see Extra).  

We went through the toy box (abandoned all this time), sorted through the art-making tools, made "slime," read a new Lois Lowry book (thank you WalkingMarj), played cards, and ran out of time hours before we were ready. We stayed inside, as it is hot already (F91/C32.7) but not nearly as hot as they say it will be Saturday and Sunday (topping out at an unimaginable F113/C45 if the forecast is borne out).
