On the way to yard…

… drove past this fledgling in the middle of the lane. A couple of hours later it was still there looking totally bedraggled and seemingly unable to move. So have bought it home. After a hairdryer to warm it up and liquified bird fat pellets it’s now fast asleep. Hopefully it will make it until tomorrow when I’ll take it back to where I found it. Slight damage on one wing which looks superficial. Wasn’t sure whether it was the right thing to do but it would have died where it was. Just felt this gave it a better life chance. I think it’s a magpie.
