The Sutton Hoo Helmet

What an amazing find in 1939, a treasure of Anglo Saxon England. This is a reconstruction and the main entry shows the front detail and the extra the back detail. An exciting visit to the exhibition and burial mounds today, it must have been amazing when the artefacts were discovered. Recently more interest in the burial mounds and finding the treasures through the making and release of a film The DIg. Must get around to see it!
