Hyacinth

The Resident Gardener is happy about his success with the first of the hyacinths. If only I could blip their delicious scent. These pink ones have long stems which can be hard to achieve where the cold and dark season is short. He's put toilet roll cardboard cylinders over our other hyacinths in an attempt to fool them into putting out long stems to reach the light. It's an experiment.

I was meant to be going to a live music event tonight, at which my virtuoso trumpet player niece was playing, but it's been cancelled due to the Sydney covid outbreak. Four local government areas are in shut down from midnight. I fear it's only the start. Just when we thought we were winning.

Thanks for hosting BikerBear.

Have a great weekend and stay well.
