Fresh as a Daisy

At least this morning it was. We ran the irrigation this morning in anticipation of a hot day - 91F/32C today, so an early morning wander in the garden found these Shasta Daisies looking fresh and inviting in the cool morning air. It was a superb morning! 

I went for a walk and then spent the rest of the day with the grandchildren at my house...but it was really too hot to be outside for any length of time so we found plenty to do indoors.

We're bracing for the forecasted heat, which has not changed, other than to seemingly get hotter. 112F on Sunday? What???? I placed a grocery order to pick up tomorrow...it's filled with watermelon, popsicles and ice cream for the grandchildren on Saturday :-)
