Oliver
Cloudy and mild all day. Up early to enjoy hotel waffles since sausage and eggs are on my allergy list; hubby tried a bit of each major offering. I can’t say this leg was uneventful as we had several delays due to an accident and major road construction. They are turning Indiana route 37 into Interstate 69. The detours and delays added two hours to the trip. Hubby stayed cool, calm and collected the entire time. His motto is, “we got to see things we’d never have seen otherwise.” That philosophy certainly makes life more enjoyable. And we made it to our destination, The Oliver Winery, in time for us each to taste several wines. We are taking nine bottles home to share. The landscape at the winery is quite colorful. I spared you 17 other photos of flowers. We stopped here during our cross country trip in 2016. I blipped it in early October. We are heading to our next hotel and we decided to just ignore the detour signs. This route is so much easier. Next time you get in a pickle on a road trip, adopt hubby’s way of looking at it. You may even like the “lost“ route better. Thanks for dropping by.
