Swim

First day of the holidays.

We've a bunch of holiday camps booked, but have planned not much for the first few days to allow for decompression.

In the morning we made a Lego triceratops (an alternative build in one of the birthday gifts) and watched the Junior School Exhibition (leavers assembly) which was livestreamed. This was largely to find out the division results (CyclopsJnr's division came joint top) but we also enjoyed the various music performances.

After lunch we went for a swim. It was an unexpected treat because it was very quiet, and it was an unexpected treat because O was there - a great friend from nursery who is in P1 so we don't see him so much. Those boys rampaged, and MrsCyclops / O's dad had some peace and a nice chat.

We also went to Starbucks for a leisurely hot chocolate where we played on MrsCyclops's Scrabble app and read a chapter of a book CyclopsJnr had for his birthday (stealth literacy).

It rained as we biked home but we didn't mind as we'd had a nice day.
