Pretty Wild, Huh?

This morning I think I vaguely recall saying goodbye to Brian when he went to work. That is the time I normally get up, but not today! Nope - I went back to sleep! Until 9 AM!

There was a quick scramble to get ready and go, as it's a "Dad" day. Fortunately the train's change to a later time means I made it, and bought coffee and a Danish for breakfast from the station's Costa, which I consumed whilst waiting and on the train.

Ironically the train was later leaving than normal as we were waiting for the Guard to arrive on another train which was running late due to a problem with a third train!

when I got there my Dad told me that he had an addition to the garden - a swarm of bees had set up camp in one of the apple trees last night. He was quite happy for them to be there and did not want me to contact anyone about them - he said they'd rest their wings, feed their young, then move on when they were ready!

I took a photo of them, and  a couple of hours later they were on their way. I watched them go from the kitchen window - for a minute or so the air was thick with bees, and their buzzing could be heard inside, then they moved off and away.

I had been going to Blip the wild flowers that were growing by the railway line but I had to include the bees too - after all, you don't see this every day do you?

I'd googled what would happen with the bees if we did have to get them moved, and only honey bees would be relocated - any other sort would be destroyed. All bees are endangered, but they are not a protected species.

I now feel like I have a cold! It may be a pollen allergy I guess! My Dad has neck-ache, which is causing him a few problems. I had that too last week and Estelle next door also has it. How weird!
