Waiting for Mummy

What a miserable day today - so far. Still raining lightly at 3pm, but no doubt the sun will come out around 7.30, as usual!

An indoor day - catching up with various bits of what was once called paperwork, and going through a few more boxes of slides to whittle down the number before doing some scanning, planned for about 2055!  Although the slide job stretches ahead it's quite amusing to see the various friends and family members looking as they did in times past - I've just climbed into 1979 so far!

A young rook - I think - has been sitting on one of the deck rails in the rain - for some time judging by the white blobs on the deck below him - but whether he's waiting for his parents to come back to feed him I don't know. He didn't seem too bothered at our attention, though he did eventually fly away when we opened the window. There's an extensive rookery not far up the road.
