Back Blip

Ach well, it wasn't meant to be. 'Yes sir, I can boogie' can be consigned to history along with Ally's Tartan Army and countless other Scotland World Cup and Euro Championships songs. And that's a bad thing because...? Outplayed and outclassed on the night, so at least we can't play the heroic failure or unlucky loser cards. But, hey, we were there and it's been a while.

Football apart, Tuesday was actually a most enjoyable day! Met with one of my friends in Edinburgh and chatted over lunch. We had got tickets to go and visit the Castle (both Historic Scotland members, so that saved us megabucks) and had a good wander around. Hadn't visited the Castle in decades! Another coffee stop on the way back to the station several hours later before going our separate ways. A really warm, sunny day and a good catch-up.
