A Day of Castles

We started with Norman Castle ( see extra) which Turner loved and painted 15 different versions of. Amazed that the entry and car parking was free. We then made a short journey to Etal Castle which was much smaller.  It was whilst here we heard the whistle of a steam engine and encountered Bunty being manhandled on the turntable.

Finally we journeyed onto the coast to Bamburgh. I just love this coastline and imposing castle. We took Jet for a wander along the beach away from the crowds. It was an excellent way to round off our day.

Had problems with the internet at the cottage so using cafe internet to upload this morning. Thank you for following my travels and for the stars and hearts they are much appreciated.
