Red kite in flight, not a shepherds delight

I know in some areas these magnificent birds are a rarity. But around here there has been a mass reintroduction programme and many would say its now gone too far the other way. They are becoming pests. They're supposed to be a scavenger bird but we have in the past round dead newborn lambs with talon and beak rips and tears.
