We had our moments...

So it was suggested for Father's Day that we went for brunch before a walk - a relatively easy one to add. Maybe she was tired, maybe she was hungry, maybe she was just out of sorts but Sienna was not amenable at all...

She was also not particularly pleased when I said that fries for breakfast was not an option, which meant that all the food on offer (which is a fantastic place, with amazing food) was just 'rubbish' in her opinion.

Then the walk was boring and tiring and she had had enough within 15 minutes and wanted to go home.

But then the food kicked in and we discovered tadpoles in the river which she loves and then she became the happiest child ever. I would also like to think it was the nature effect...

Thank goodness having older children means I know this stage as a young teen and their tendency to only see things through their own lens - does pass!
