Broad- boardered bee Hawk-moth
Had a great morning\early afternoon at Chambers farm wood near Lincoln . Went to meet a friend there, but I was early and he was late, so we missed each other !! and the phone signal is very poor out there, but we did eventually meet :-) The Hawk moth was just outside the butterfly garden and the newt and water boatman ( see extras) were in the pond in the butterfly garden.
I saw all there very small moths n an oak tree and wondered what they were , turns out they were green oak tree tortrix moths very small and never stopping so the image is a very big crop, but better something than nothing !!
I was surprised at how many people were there and just before I left we bumped into someone else we both know :-)
Just a PS over 7,700 steps today, so now drinking a strong bottle of red wine on the patio with Naomi and her partner :-)
