Anniversary Of Sorts #2
I'm going back a few days here, but Sunday was the 40th anniversary of our first 'date'. One of my friends worked as a volunteer on the Severn Valley Railway and had organised a group outing. We managed to persuade the future mrsfb to come along, as long as I collected her and drove to Bewdley. It was a memorable evening, mainly because it turned out she wasn't too well, and proceeded to faint in the crowded bar at Bridgnorth station. I remember so well the moment she slid down the wall and I had to commandeer a chair to sit her on as she came around. I got her home OK but then didn't see her for a week or so as she had gone back home to stay with her parents. I was invited to visit when she was fully recovered so I met the future in-laws early on in our relationship. And reader I still married her!
The point of the blip is that all this time mrsfb kept her original ticket in her purse, until it was stolen with the purse back in 2019. When I realised it was going to be a 'big' anniversary this year I emailed the SVR and they very kindly produced a replacement ticket, date stamped too. I'm tagging it for Wide Wednesday as the original was, and the replacement is something she loves!
