Backstage

We are so enjoying our time here with our son and daughter in law. Geoffrey plays French horn for the National Opera in DC and we always attend a concert while here .The Opera tonight was "Manon Lescaut" by Giacomo Puccini. It is a story of a Journey of the Soul. Of course it was a tragic love story where the heroine dies (that took 20 Minutes!) The sets were amazing , the music was beautiful. (We thought our son played great!) The Kennedy Center in DC is a wonderful venue to play in. Our son loves the Washington area. It certainly is a beautiful drive to work seeing all the monuments After the concert we went backstage and I took a couple of photos. I love the musical Les Miserables so i had to take this photo. there are some perks to being a mom of a musician!
