Got a call earlier this week from the Arts Center where I photographed a dance group last friday. They invited me to come back today on a photo shoot of a celtic music event. They want to use a series of my pictures in support of a grant request. Happy to help them out.

This is giving me plenty of practice to shoot under 'adverse lighting' conditions: artificial lights, colored lights, dim lights, spot lights, moving lights, dark backgrounds, blown-out stage -- and all the while no flash allowed. Too many compromises to make to get a good shot. I did like this blip though: a lot of my other shots just looked like any old snapshot of a musician on stage.
