After three nights away, two of which had been with friends, it was with reluctance that we had to return home just as the weather promised to be a good day for walking among the mountains.  We did manage a walk through woods and beside a little river before taking a scenic route home.  It was surprising to see two horse chestnut trees just coming into flower and some primroses still flowering yet I had picked some ripe wild strawberries earlier in the morning.
