All the way from the USA
Here is our friend BJ, who travelled to the UK over 2 weeks ago and has been in quarantine until the end of last week. Julie and BJ came to see me this afternoon and we drank tea, ate biscuits and chatted in the garden.
Many of you know that I like mono for portraits, but I like the way the colour of the Euphorbia sets off the colour or BJ's hair and her jacket.
We heard about how much easier many people feel now that Donald Trump is out of office and more about the situation in the USA.
First thing this morning I went out to try another footpath for tomorrow's walk. I think I have finally sorted out the route, although the many different footpaths are all muddled in my head!! I did cut back some nettles but managed to avoid most.
I will be kind and say that the staff on Chipchase Castle Estate land must have been too busy to tend to any of the footpaths I walked on. (That may not explain a completely absent finger post. A local told me it lay on the ground for a long time!)
This evening, I watched Maria Falconer talk about her work on Zoom. It was a brilliant talk and brilliant images. Lots to think about too.
