More grey river

It was grey and raining again but I decided on a walk along the river to start the day.  It didn’t rain and it was a bit muddy but I managed 12000 steps.  Home for a late breakfast and then off for a trip to the hairdresser.  OH played golf again and then took himself to town for a haircut (scalp - he likes to get his moneys worth although it will grow I suppose!?).  

I did a bit of dead heading but it was cold and the garden wasn’t calling me!   I said to my OH that if we were not in a COVID era, the weather would make me book a holiday to escape and get some sunshine.  Hopefully there will be a review of the traffic light nonsense and we can get away soon, or failing that the weather will improve again.  No wonder the Brits are so obsessed with the weather when you can such a variety over a week - this time last week, I was on the beach and swimming in the sea.  Today I have socks, boots and long trousers again, although haven’t put the heating on - yet!
