A day of travel (from drizzle and cloud to sunshine!), quick meeting then to a real in person meeting about long term estate planning ….first time I’ve seen any of the others off a screen for more than a year. We were all a bit giddy and it was very good humoured and wide ranging.
Met up with R, another first since last March, and we went to the Malaysian for our traditional dinner of favourites….roti and chicken satay for starters of course! Usual range of chat topics, this time also including Seinfeld alongside the Sopranos, therapy, Italy, cancel culture, mortgages, kids, admissions policies, moving house and likely outcomes (although I was struck by the inability to set out any ideal future scenarios….talk about commitment to an ‘open to experience’ approach to life!).
Summer solstice….can’t believe the dark starts encroaching again from tomorrow!
