The dropped stitch

the very thorny rose

Due to an IT issue there was no meter reading work to do today. Most welcome news on a sunny Monday.
I haven't yet started clearing the suckers of this beautiful rose out of the flower bed next to it. Instead, some gentle weeding and planting out.
An enjoyable day, the more so because it was so unexpected.

Early bed, as there's an early ferry to catch tomorrow.
Five go on an adventure.

I made flapjack. Two lots. The first crumbled and was completely impossible to eat without a spoon. (though it tasted good.) The second batch is still cooling. If it isn't right it isn't coming on the trip. You really can't offer round pieces of flapjack which disintegrate when touched.
