A Day At A Time.

Armed Services Day

For some reason, Gibraltar is holding its ASD a week earlier than other places.

So we braved the heat and popped over the border to have a mooch around the Naval dockyard. This included going aboard HMS Trent, a Batch 2 River-class Offshore Patrol vessel, P224.

There were other aspects of the Armed Services displaying their wares and I wondered if it might give their recruitment a boost. If indeed they need one. We stopped to chat to bomb diposallers and harbour repair divers and off-road vehicle enhancers, before taking refuge in a nearby Indian for a very good spot of lunch.

Just what is needed on a hot day - an equally hot curry!
