Fortingill's oldest resident.
Today we had arranged to meet a work colleague of RF's for lunch. We were expecting her husband and dog too but she had arranged for 2 other colleagues to turn up as well. RF works with a team based in Edinburgh and had not met any face to face so this was quite touching for her.
During lunch we learnt that we were very close to the above Yew tree which is believed to be over 5000 years old, the oldest living thing in Europe and possibly the world, we just had to visit. What a privilege to stand next to such a tree!
Back at the lodge for a cuppa then a walk around Kinloch Rannoch before supper. As we walked back the view in the extra suddenly appeared between the trees.
Hmmm, I'll have to adjust this entry when I find a better connection.
