Day 454 Behind bars

The gate at the top of our stairs is not to prevent children and toddlers from going upstairs but rather cats, though now of course we are down to only one cat, Peggy Sue.  She would love to go upstairs and if the chance arises, quickly nips up there heads for Violet's bed and has been known to creep under the covers.  When she wants to come down, she inevitably finds, as today, that someone has closed the gate and barred her way.  Only one cat could ever jump over that gate and that was Lilly.
