Fungi in a tree
Went to Kelseys Bush near Waimate this morning to get out of the house and get some exercise, took the camera as per usual and just as well. To my surprise there was quite a lot of fungi to be photographed and my two hour saunter in the forest turned into five. The forest was wet and dripping, and the fungi looked fresh and new, reflections in the fungi caps was captivating, it was very wet and muddy underfoot and the river crossings challenging as the river levels were higher than the last time I was there, nearly slipped over a few times, didn't fancy taking a dip in the water as it was rather cold, luckily the tripod was acting as a balance stick., Stopped a Nosh cafe on the way home for a coffee and a bite to eat, was a nice day out.
