Hot and Busy Day!

We had a lot of errands this morning, as well as a walk in the Arboretum. It was already warm when we got there around 10 am...but lovely in the woods and shade. This stairway is one of the walks up from one of the parking lots...it's a very hilly place. I typically save my knees and take the curvy paved walk up to the top. 

I gave my garden containers a good water and did a bit of staking until I couldn't stand the heat. I saw a Swallowtail and a damselfly, as well as a hummingbird and countless bees, but of course didn't have my camera handy. But it was fun seeing all the action.

I have my first day of teaching tomorrow - two sections (at 9 am and noon) of Plant ID: Summer Annuals and Perennials. Fingers crossed I'm ready!
